Client Policies & Agency Guidelines  Sharp Minds Therapy

Service Validity and Scheduling Flexibility

Clients have the flexibility to schedule their services at any time within one year (365 days) from the date of purchase. After this one-year period, any unused services will expire, and clients will no longer be eligible for services or a refund.

 

Attendance and Punctuality

Clients are expected to arrive on time for all scheduled sessions.

  • If a client arrives within 15 minutes of the scheduled time, the session will proceed, but no additional time will be added to compensate for the late arrival.

  • If a client is more than 15 minutes late, the session will be considered a no-show, and the full session fee will be charged.
     

Third-Party Involvement

Sharp Minds Therapy supports clients who are referred or connected to third-party organizations (e.g., Court systems, Children’s Aid Society, etc.). While we act as therapists for our clients, we remain accountable to any involved third parties by providing accurate and honest reports on the client's participation, progress, and behaviors (when applicable and required).
 

​ Zero Tolerance Policy

  • Sharp Minds Therapy maintains a Zero Tolerance Policy toward any aggressive or abusive behavior directed at staff members or program participants. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Abusive or threatening language

  • Aggressive gestures or behavior

  • Physical intimidation or contact

  • Verbal harassment

  • Any actions deemed unsafe or inappropriate

  • Clients who engage in such behavior may be immediately removed from the program and will not be eligible for a refund.
